Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2018 Buick Envision. We're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT 4-pole trailer wiring harness. Adding a 4-pole wiring harness to your Envision is gonna allow you to safely pull trailers without brakes. If you decide to pull a trailer with brakes, you'll want to add a 7-pole and a brake controller to your Envision. This 4-pole kit is going to mount up to a pre-wired location behind our rear fascia up here. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2023 Buick Envision. Now the pros of this kit, it is truly just plug and play. You have a factory tow package so when you're doing a hitch you might wanna pick this up as well. And that way when towing the trailer you'll have all your lighting functions. And speaking of installation, I'm gonna walk you through all those steps to make sure that you get yours installed. If you have a hitch on your Envision it's a good opportunity to also add four-pole trailer wiring harness because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer or if you have accessories with lights on them this is gonna allow you to gain your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights to your trailer or whatever accessory you may have. more

Before we do that though, we'll take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. Whenever you're pulling a trailer around you're gonna need a way to power up all the lights on it, right That way you're safe and legal. And that's exactly what a kit like this is going to do. Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Buick Envision- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the T-connector trailer wiring harness here on our 2019 Buick Envision. So our trailer wiring harness is going to simply transmit these signals from our vehicle to our trailer. Now, this is not only a legal requirement in every state, but it's also going to be a good added measure of security to let others out on the road know what signals we're going to be making. A lot of the time the trailer can actually block the vehicles taillights. So you're not going to be able to see what we're doing unless we have a way to transfer those signals from the vehicle to the trailer. So this particular kit here provides us with the most basic type of trailer connector, and that's going to be a four way flat, otherwise known as a four-pole trailer connector. more

Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Buick Envision- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2016 Buick envision, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness. The wiring is going to provide our trailer with the necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe, but legal as well. And since it is a four-way flat connector, a lot of different types of light-up accessories use that same style. So this is going to be able to power those as well. Now I do want to mention this bracket here that I use to mount up our four-way connector is not included, but there's a ton of different types of brackets available here at etrailer that you can use to give you a very similar install look. Or if you don't want to use a bracket, which you can always do is use the dust cap, just simply take your wiring and loop it around the safety chain hooks here, and that'll keep it secure and be just fine.But that being said, the dust cap is nice and thick, which is important since this connector does live outside, that's really going to help protect it from the elements and keep that corrosion down ,I do suggest going a step further and from time to time just apply some dielectric grease on those. more

Here we have the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness, part number 118725.The first biggest difference that we found between our two wiring harnesses here today is overall wire length. The wiring harness on the CURT is a little bit longer than the Tekonsha. If you have a trailer that has a short connector to go to your Envision, then the CURT may work out easier for you and make it easier for you to tow. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Buick Envision, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow package, part number C56364. Here's what the wiring harness looks like installed. As you can see, we have an adequate length of wire so we can route the wiring harness to be right next to our trailer hitch, so it's readily accessible for when we need to hook up to our trailer. Now this wiring harness gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow our trailer.Our white wire is our necessary ground connection between our trailer and our Envision, so our lights work properly. Our brown wire is for our taillight and running light circuit. Our yellow wire is for our left brake light and left turn signal, and our green wire is for our right brake light and right turn signal. more

This wiring harness will allow us to safely and legally tow a trailer with the lighting functions that are required by law. Our white wire provides the necessary ground connection between our Envision and our trailer. Our brown wire is for our tail light and running light circuit. Our yellow wire is for our left brake light and left turn signal, and our green wire is for our right brake light and right turn signal.Now, on these three wires we have a total power output of 7.7 amps of power per wire. That's going to allow us to tow a trailer that has several incandescent lights on it. more
